This week’s featured magazine is another one I have only recently discovered, despite the fact it was first released in October 2011!

It’s called Time Out Melbourne and it’s aim is to pick out the best bars, restaurants, shows, exhibitions, films, festivals etc..basically anything that is happening of interest in Melbourne!

Time Out

But after a bit of research, I discovered this is not just a local magazine….as of 2014, there are 46 editions of Time Out available in 30 countries!

The Time Out Group was founded by Tony Elliot, with the first edition released in London in 1968…and it has grown from there!

In Australia, apart from Melbourne, you can also find editions of Time Out for Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, and Sydney.

Apart from the magazine, there is also a Time Out Melbourne website which is updated regularly with new information!

The current printed edition (June 2014 #29) features the Melbourne seaside suburb of St Kilda.

Time Out Melbourne also heads down the highway to review five must visit restaurants in the city of Geelong!

And if you are in search of a late night feed, there is an article revealing where you can find the best souvlaki in Melbourne!

There are a number of restaurants reviewed, but one in particular caught my eye…Smith & Daughters…a new vegan restaurant in Brunswick St, Fitzroy…sounds like our sort of place!

Will add it to our list of weekend destinations!

The magazine also has sections on Travel, both home and abroad…this edition has articles on Bath UK,  five great winter road trips in Victoria, plus what to see and do in Perth WA and Mornington Peninsula VIC.

If you want to know whats happening in your city, see if there is an edition of Time Out available at your local newsagents….its worth finding… its full of information, a good read, and its only $4.95!

Time Out Melbourne is available monthly from all good newsagents.
