A week or so ago, we heard some sad news…one of our favourite tea houses in Melbourne was closing it’s doors.

We discovered Storm in a Teacup back in 2013,  and have been regular visitors there since…and we always have some Storm tea stocked in our pantry.

So as the closing date of 31st May is coming up fast, we headed over to Collingwood on this beautiful autumn day, to have one last tea session and to replenish our tea supply.

We went all out on this last visit, and made ourselves somewhat tea drunk on Dong Ding, a 2nd flush Enigma Darjeeling and Golden Tips, and then decided to finish off by sharing some divine Forest White tea from Hawaii…

The good news is that Hannah will be re-opening a new Storm in a Teacup at a location in Northcote, sometime in September.

It will be a different format then the current tea house, and will be more like a “cellar door” for tea providing retail sales and education.

And more good news is that the Storm website will still be running once the tea house closes, so we can get our fix of tea online.

However, we weren’t going to take any chances and came home with some essentials…

So if you love tea, make sure you get over to Smith St, Collingwood, and enjoy a tea or two…and maybe some yummy cake…before Storm closes.

We wish all at Storm in a Teacup the very best in their new adventures, and look forward to seeing the brand new Storm later in the year!

Storm in a Teacup is located at 48A Smith Street, Collingwood, Vic….closing on 31st May 2015.
